Valid points ofc, but racism and homophobia both oppress but operate in different ways, all of those ways are very specific to each person, so this whole argument is a mess the way it goes. It's essentially "my experience with terrible stuff in the world makes me feel worse than your experiences with terrible stuff in the world". No one takes that lightly unless the've undergone sensitivity training or something.

There is no evidence to prove that a gay white men is at far ore of an advantage in life if he is out. He might be while living under his parent's roof, but he may as well be in the closet during that time too.

It's hard to write off one as more advantageous.

The fact that the UK still copies everything the US does. Did you know the other day, I heard someone talk about how Obama does nothing even when they don't live in the US. It's just an echo of what they read on American forums and on biased American media. The mindset in both countries are so interchangeable it's silly to say one country is better than the other in terms of racial relations.

And the cycle of oppressed people appropriating other oppressed people continues.

The UK never had lynchings, the KKK, intense segregation. That whole Travyon mess last year would not have played out the same way if it had happened over here.

Truth is, the UK is a better place for a black person to live in than the US. By what degree - we could debate for years. But my point is undeniable.
