Again, it depends on what you take into consideration. Digitally speaking, Katy takes it all. I'm pretty sure even digital album sales, as she is 20+ million in the US alone. She obviously charts better, and the album has had better longevity, considering over a year after its release it is still pumping out major success and receiving various awards.

TD (album) went #1 in 9 different countries. Top 5 in 8 more countries. Top 10 in 6 more countires, and Top 20 in 5 more countries. That's wonderful! Esp. considering her last album didn't go number 1 anywhere, and top in two countries!

It got certified 3X Platinum in Australia, 2 X Platinum in 5 countries (including the US), and Platinum in 3 countries.

California Gurls went #1 in 11 different countries, including #1 on Canada's year end chart and top 5 in 5 other countries.

TD went #1 in 5 different countries.

Firework in 4 different countries.

ET in 6 different countries.

LFN in 5 different countries (wonderful for a 5th single and no promo)

TOTGA well it looks like it could go #1 on the Hot 100. If that happen it'll probably go #1 in Canada too. Plus, it's probably going #1 in Australia and NZ because mid-tempos and ballads usually do better there than they do in the US, plus it charted a lot better and a lot faster there than it did here.

Katy has the most #1s on the Canadian Hot 100, and the most from one album,

Katy is tied for the 8th artist with most #1s in New Zealand and she has the shortest career of everyone on that list.

The first four singles of TD were certified at least Gold in Germany. That hasn't happened since Backstreet Boys' Backstreet Boys in 1995-1997 . Making Katy the only one this century (so far).

Oh and TFM's singles only sold about 10 million. The first 3 TD singles sold 14 million.

It was certified 3x platinum in Australia & Europe; 2x platinum in Brazil, Belgium, France & Japan; went 9x Platinum in Ireland; went 5x platinum in Indonesia; went platinum in Denmark, Finland & US; went Multi-platinum in Italy; went 4x platinum in Russia; and went diamond in Poland.

Bad Romance went #1 in 18 countries, and went #1 on multiple US Billboard charts.

Telephone went #1 in 6 countries.

Alejandro went #1 in 7 charts WW, including Airplay charts.

Your argument with that is invalid right there. Stop trying to make TD seem more than it is.

As a body of work TFM is better, but TD has been stronger single-wise.
I'd have to give it to TD.

SINGLES, teenage dream was more successful
THE ALBUM ITSELF, the fame monster was more successful.

and success does not necessarily = better/good.
I prefer any TFM single over any of the TD singles.

Teenage Dream was huge let's not deny there but TFM was massive: Bad Romance was a monster hit, Telephone was ok and even Alejandro was huge at least in latin america.
