It's not even that. Pop wasn't even played in my house. The only pop girl being played was Brit Brat. I remember Britney's impact....not her sales or charts (obviously ) but how popular she was and how many times the radio would play BOMT.

Anyways back on topic. Gaga's debut was huge, the way she just blew up was crazy.

Chrissy has sold about 100 million records to date. It's 50 million albums 50 million singles. You have to factor in that a single in 2002 had the same price as a whole album costs nowadays, probably.
