I stan for Rihanna because of her growth into the beautiful, talented artist she has become. I honestly didn't become a huge fan until Rated R, & I didn't become a stan until the Loud era tbh. Her care for her fans is great, & she never wants to leave us hanging. We even got to choose the latest singles (which may or may not be a good thing... ).

I'm glad you agree with me. You have always been one of my favorite Rihanna stans, as you're always honest, non-delusional, and bring straight facts to the table.
Me too! If I wanted to stan for somebody who remade the same songs over and over, I would. But Rihanna has never been that type of artist. Her singles catalog over the past couple of years speaks for itself. She always changes it up and brings something fresh to the table. I didn't become a full stan until the early stages of the Rated R era. Prior to that, I was just a casual fan/supporter. I've never felt that it makes a difference when somebody becomes a stan, as a good stan is a good stan, no matter how long they've been around. It bothers me when people attempt to discredit somebody's stan status, just because they didn't stan from the very second "Pon De Replay" hit the radio stations.

And I agree, she trusts us so much. There aren't many artists like her, that genuinely love their fans and will do anything to make them happy. I'm so proud to be a stan.

I never really considered "Rude Boy" and "What's My Name" to be similar songs. If anything, "S&M" is like the oversexed half-sibling of "Rude Boy". "Rude Boy" is and was a more quality song/single than both "S&M" and "What's My Name", even if I do love all three songs.

It's just a plan from DJ to milk even more money from her fans, she probably had no word in this.

I think she had a say in this, yes. Her people (label included) see how well Loud is doing in comparison to her previous albums (it is her fastest selling album, after all) and want to continue the success. Strong sales for a brand new album are never promised. And plus, I don't think Rihanna wants to kill off the Loud era so quickly. She's clearly enjoying it, as it is her most fun and energetic era to date. I just hope it doesn't drag on
too long.

THIS! I love "Fading", but it would never be a hit.

I think we all know, even teh haterz , that the single material on GGGB was stronger but the albums RR and Loud worked better as a whole.
Hopefully the re-release will contain more songs like Mandown and What's My Name and less ballads.

I do agree, the singles on GGGB were more obvious hits than RR and Loud combined. I think that's why the album ended up selling more copies than any of her other albums. But at the same time, GGGB seemed very forced, in my opinion.
And I also agree that she needs more songs like "Man Down", "What's My Name", "Only Girl", etc. The general public isn't here for Rihanna's ballads anymore, and her releasing any would be very silly.

True. I'll be honest, I've always been one to say, "God, I miss TF era Gaga". But at the end of the day, she changed/evolved musically and artistically because she is becoming more comfortable with making the kind of music she likes. It's the same way with Rihanna, and many other musicians.

THANK YOU! GGGB is so ****ing overrated! Holy ****! Loud is the perfect album. Truly amazing. And I would never want Rihanna to take a step backward.

It really is. It bothers me so much when people claim that they miss that era, or want her to make another "Umbrella", "Don't Stop The Music", etc. Yes, it was an amazing era, but it is long gone now. People generally appreciate GGGB more because Rihanna was, at the end of the day, a nobody back then. She didn't have 10 #1s. She wasn't a household name. She wasn't making music that was different from anything you hear on the radio. It's easier to appreciate an artist when you think that they will potentially fade away within the next couple of years.
