Almost all meat eaters are vitamin-deficient as well lol. You can get B12, iron, vitamin c, protein, vitamin d and calcium from a plant-based diet. Supplements aren't really necessary as long as you're eating the correct amount of important food groups.
and this is how I live. I eat a banana every other day, sometimes I have strawberries with my cereal, my dinner plate is usually 1/4 meat 3/4 rice, when I go out that's when I eat mostly meat
for those saying no, what would you say the most important foods (specific) you consume are? just out of curiosity to improve my diet since i probably eat too much meat.
You can get everything you need from a plant-based diet. You can try various x-day vegan challenges.

I agree, a vegetable-only diet is unhealthy but that is not what a vegan diet consists of.
Well majority of meat eaters aren't eating "meat only" meals, so I'm pretty sure they have a better chance of having a well balanced diet between meats and veggies. I know a vegan at my job that admitted to me that one of the cons for her is becoming vitamin deficient, feeling sluggish, etc. And thats not the first time I've heard that.. So can we stop acting like one is better than the other?
What's up with vegans wanting to change the way the rest of the people eat?
I mean yeah, humans are naturally omivorous which means that their diet consists of all type of foods from vegetables to meat and grains. I could say a lot about the stupid argument that is not natural for humans to eat meat because if we were to eat meat only we would get in risk of getting more diseases and blah blah blah (which actually happens as well to people whose diet consist of vegetables only)...that's why we are OMNIVORES, because we need certain quantities of all type of food to fill our phisiological necessities
This image sums it up! We NEED all of the nutrients in all of the food groups and it is true, things like proteins which are in large quantities in meat also exist in vegetables but in minor quantities which is WHY you can survive without eating meat but also that means that you're gonna have to eat these vegetables in larger quantities to fill up your necessities, and still you could also suffer from illnesses like vitamin B12 deficiency.
What I'm trying to say here is that you can live on whatever the hell you want to eat, but the correct way of eating consists on ALL TYPE OF FOODS...why? because that way you're getting all type of nutrients you need without the need of taking supplements or putting yourself at risk of getting sick, being a vegan is a choice and if you're happy with it then that's amazing but don't go trying to shove that down the throat of the rest of the people please.
and to the person that says that diabetes can be "reversed" YOU REALLY SHOULD READ A LOT MORE BECAUSE YOU'RE MAKING YOURSELF LOOK LIKE AN IDIO T
how is it anything but natural when we are omnivores and sciences dictates that we are capable of eating both meat and plant products
This.
We do eat a lot more meat than we naturally need though. We used to eat meat every once in a while if it was easy to get, now we eat it almost every day.

Because going vegan conserves land and contributes to the stoppage of deforestation, world hunger, green house gas emissions, ozone depletion and global warming.

This statement is flawed because you don't seem to know what a plant-based diet is. Vegans eat grains, fruit and vegetables. People don't get sick from eating only plants, that is nonsense. However you can get sick from eating only meat. Think about that!

You're structuring your argument based off of a chart that has been declared inaccurate for over a decade Also the idea that a plant-based diet causes B12 deficiency is a myth. Nutritional yeast and fortified non-dairy milks and cereals contain more than enough B12.

Well nobody is forcing you to do anything but I'd assume it is in your best interest to at least be educated about these topics.
No. Do you start salivating when you see a cow grazing in the grass? Do we have hands designed to tear open flesh? Our teeth are biologically made for grinding grains and vegetables. We are considered omnivores because we can digest meats without dying, but it is not essential to our growth or health whatsoever.

.. we have flat molars AND premolars, like any other omnivore. This is basic knowledge anyone learns in their biology class. Humans have hunted animals and consumed meat since the BEGINNING OF TIME.
The only reason this thread reached this amount of pages is because of normal people amazed at this amount of lunacy. I mean, yall should go out into the world, on the streets and tell people eating meat is unnatural. People will LAUGH at you for a damn reason

As I said, humans can physically eat and digest meat. Just because we can, doesn't mean we should. Have fun with cancer, heart disease, and the guilt of contributing to the slaughter and torture of innocent lives.

Nah. I consider this ''meat is healthy and unnatural!1''/vegan extremism hype to belong in the same category of cultural appropriation and gender neutrality movement mess, just another millennium fad because yall wanna be special so bad.
Forreal, though. They need to accept that their own world is their reality. The nerve of y'all advocating for your own lifestyle and deeming a thing as normal as wearing clothes ''unnatural''.
It's completely fine to advocate against the meat industry and its barbaric animal cruelty, but know where to draw the line when claiming what is normal and what is not.
Veganism is still seen as an alternative lifestyle, eating meat is not.

For the very last time - moderate, reasonable consumption of meat in the context of a balanced and healthy diet does not noticeably raise the risk of cancer or heart disease.
As for the "guilt of contributing to the slaughter and torture of innocent lives," not all of us live with that guilt after the consumption of meat. Yes, there's something to be said about the way we treat our livestock, but the actual acts of ending an animal life and consuming said animal do not naturally evoke negative ethical reactions from most people.
