Why would we hunt and eat an animal in that manner

We are HUMANS you know?
Balanced diet = best diet. It's as simple as that. Fish (especially salmon) should be consumed more regularly than poultry and red meat. Having chicken, beef once or twice a week, fish 3-5 days a week and a daily balance of veg/fruit/carbs/protein etc. along with 1.5-2.5 litres of water a day is the most healthy, balanced and nutritious diet.
