Almost all meat eaters are vitamin-deficient as well lol. You can get B12, iron, vitamin c, protein, vitamin d and calcium from a plant-based diet. Supplements aren't really necessary as long as you're eating the correct amount of important food groups.
I agree, a vegetable-only diet is unhealthy but that is not what a vegan diet consists of.
