Why would she do it though? Just for the sense of being "risky"? And sorry but none of those songs are risky, they're just darkest pop songs (well Dark Horse was an interesting thing from her but that's it). Stop trying to make Katy seem risky when she is the safest of all the pop stars.

Taylor's album have no edge. They aren't risky, she's been pop from the get-go, so don't even start with the "jumping genres."

Not that I'm saying Katy is a better artist, I feel like she's generic pop as well, but she definitely has more edge. Teenage Dream was far from safe , Circle The Drain is a prime example of her not being "safe" with her songs.

So definitely Katy>Taylor as far as the safest musically
