Thanks to the streaming rule, hun. Her Grammy performance was played as a commercial on YouTube so even people who didn't look it up and watch it were giving it streams..

& are you gonna ignore the streams for Work Bitch? 130+ million for a song that never went top ten.. It was barely played on radio, etc.

& pretty much any pop star could get a #1 if they released their song and video the same day.

Do artists normally release their videos the same day as the single? No.
Taylor is the only one to do so, so far. So until it becomes an industry practice, it's strictly a hypothetical question. So until it becomes the norm, I'm arguing who is most likely to get a #1 first.

Youtube ads don't count and i don't think her performance did either. It was down to her video and her streams of spotify.

WB was her first single, so it should have more views. I'm just saying streaming isn't strong for Britney. Bey's lowest viewed video this era is Pretty Hurts with 55 million, that was released months after Perfume and is 7 minutes long.

I think you're a bit mistaken.

Gaga's Dope performance (at the YouTube awards) may have had ads, but the ads were not counted as streaming.

Drunk in Love's performance didn't have ads as far as I remember. Why would the Grammys advertise something that had already happened, not to mention I remember it was hard to find at the time, thus not a typical youtube video.

It didn't have ads because you need a video to be uploaded to have ads, she didn't upload it and most videos were being deleted.

Yes, so as you were saying, it would be super simple for Beyoncé to get that #1 if she did it all correctly.

Simultaneous single, radio and video release.
Promo that week on day and night-time shows.
Coincide with magazine covers, etc.

But she doesn't seem to care that much.

Beyoncé is the only one the general public still cares about, just check her album sells and tour receipts. And she came close with DIL with just one promo spot. To be honest, I don't think with damn near 20ys in the game slaying the way Bey is, that #1 jingles are all that important to her. To some stans maybe, but to Bey herself nope.
