I don't believe that to be true objectively.

I think there are two artists that will cater more towards pop and with the right song and video things can be clear...what was the last song that was rarely played on pop radio that was #1...I can think of that harlem shake song.

I see what youre saying but it's not really a weak attempt especially in Beys case..but if you say so
Not sure about the others because their group situations were a bit different..but to me it just makes sense that Bey is credited for those 4 #1s

And the thing about it is...
Beyonce seems to not cater to it. DIL at #2 was a pleasant surprise but I think although she did push two of her songs to top 40 for which they didn't use...she isn't interested in being a top 40 artist as much.

I think Xtina will want to and Britney will as she is pure pop and relies little on other formats.
They just need the right song and video to connect at the right time.

Yeah Britney's had 2 in the past 5 yeras,Xtina 1 as a feature and Beyonce none but I still think Xtina might have the edge. Isn't she coming out with a new album in early 2015 or something.

Adele will probably snatch that 6th number before all 3 anyways

The chart rules have changed since then. It will be more of a struggle for her to get number 1.

No disrespect to you...I probably said it too harshly but the thing is that they credit as separate entities and although some artists (not just one) like to add both as a marketing tool...they really are separate entities.

That said, it would be cool if Beyonce did get a 6th #1 but i'm not sure she is interested in getting #1s as she is just about releasing music on her terms.

Drunk in Love only got to #2 because of the streaming rule. All the singles from 4 had horrible peaks, and if it wasn't for streams, it would've been the same for her last album.

Christina has a new album coming, yes but lbr.. She'd be lucky to get a top 20 let alone a #1 single. Even Max Martin couldn't get her one.

13 years into her career, Britney managed not only to get a #1 song but she DEBUTED at the top.

Britney is most likely, people need to stop being delusional af.

It's all semantics at the end of the day, Beyonce as an artist has 5 #1's, Beyonce as a songwriter has 10 #1's, 9 as a producer, just tweak the title, either way she's still credited somehow in the songs.

Yes. Xtina has had a #1 last decade... and this decade. She has actually #1's in three decades.

Bey got to #2 so clearly not. All Bey needs to do is release her first single as normal with the video at the same time and she should be able to.

Can Britney pull in the huge sales like she used to debut at the top, i'm not so sure anymore after BJ. The streaming for Perfume is one of the worst.
