Both are forms of dancing. But one is generally taught in schools to 5 y.olds up, the other is acquired in parties etc. And popstars can be professional dancers, that's what we were talking about.

J.LO is a much better singer than Brit imo, so I don't think her voice was much of a problem. I think her marketability was her biggest problem. She was never marketed as a teen idol.
