Well it is obviously not about how intricated and difficult choreographies are (let's be honest, bey's choreos aren't anything special). It's about the artist's deliver and body expression which elevates these choreos and make you and me believe they are better than they really are. That's what earlier britney did and current Bey do.
I don't think any pop star has ever had legitimately top-tier dancing techniques because the genre and style doesn't call for it. Its all stuff that a decent dancer with enough time and practice can do.
But when you start trying to say that arm movements are dancing and hip movements are not, you look like a fool.
Shakira uses FAR FAR more in her routines than a normal bellydancer. Most bellydancers work in cabarets/casinos etc. That's why they're not recognized as pro's. Shakira is in a league of her own.

What point are you trying to make? No one is claiming Beyonce is a professional dancer. I'm pointing out, as someone who is a trained dancer, the claim the Britbots try to constantly make that "shaking ur hips isn't dancing!" is stupid as a hell.

I remember there was a big debate on whether or not Beyonce could do Slave 4 U. She pretty
much does that in Beautiful Liar and then-some.
The only hard part of IAS4U is the slide in the chorus and the last chorus.
