I think most interestingly Singapore is excluded, while Hong Kong isn't. They both have similar populations, and are of similar land area, but the one that isn't a country (Hong Kong) is included. It just seems a bit arbitrary to me, but whatever, I'm probably looking too much into it. Lol

tbh i dont know why my country Malaysia is included as big market cause even though my country is bigger than HK and singapore, people in my country rarely use itunes to buy music. itunes market is very small in Malaysia

That's a really bad and dated excuse. If Gaga really did have more star power than Katy, she wouldn't have trouble selling records, regardless of her previous era. You tried, though.
I don't like Walking On Air based on the snippet.

I don't understand your logic. First you claim Applause hasn't peaked and now this?
Now matter how you spin it, Gaga should have hit #1. She is considered a digital tour de force afterall, right?
I'm surprised by Applause's longevity on iTunes. I'll give you that. But the overall performance of the song isn't impressive at all. Especially from someone who is considered by many to be the Queen of Pop.

Yeah, I would like to know why Kworb chose to include those specific countries. Lol

Singles sales =/= Star power. Also, contrary to initial beliefs, "Applause" isn't over yet.

First-week sales (or sales in general) is an indication of an artist's digital pull, or how interested people are in an artist, and we all saw what happened/is happening to Applause relative to Roar. I'm not denying Applause is doing alright right now, but in comparison to Roar, and considering a certain stan base has been saying Gaga is bigger than Katy, the results (not just in sales, but also streaming) are very contradicting.

Gaga is 11 on Pop radio and has a cool Kia commercial. It's not that surprising she's still
in the top 10.

I think tours are the biggest show of an artists star power, not first week singles sales. Ticket price > 1.29 single that can be easily illegally downloaded. Not worth arguing over though, they are both doing great.

Wow, just seeing Gaga's Top 10 Stays in the U.S. and it's kinda funny, because # of weeks are clearly falling with each single more and more. But now after the messy BTW era, she's gonna break that luck

Even some of the greatest singers/stars don't have super impressive touring stats. Moving units across the globe and doing so at great measures consistently hold just as much weight. Katy and Gaga are moving in opposite directions of their careers anyway to fairly compare this right now. Gaga deteriorating after breaking out huge with "JD"/"PF" (still her biggest hits), while Katy has continually grown into a major pop star, if not the most valuable pop star out of all the girls today. With how things are looking The ARTPOP Ball all could kneel to PRISM Tour, considering Katy has built a supportive fanbase over the years, while Gaga has began to turn away.
Of course, that's just an if.

Oh sh*t, my bad, I was following the order thinking it was the singles realese order. Then she can actually pull 11 weeks in Top 10 like TEOG
