The Fame is a pretty forgettable album. The best songs are the singles + Paper Gangsta.
MDNA is a pretty decent album. Neither of her last two efforts deserve the constant skulldragging they get on here and everywhere else. Both are a lot better if you divorce them from Madonna, the woman who made Like A Prayer and Ray of Light. As a matter of fact, I'm Addicted is one of the best songs of 2012.
Fixed.
But no I disagree. MDNA is a spotty pop album by anybody's standards. It's okay. That's it. Tries to be experimental but fails. And also fails at being radio-friendly/commercial for the most part (the most obvious one is GGW but it panders so hard to trends that it ends up sounding characterless imo).
Carly Rae Jepsen is not a one-hit-wonder
Beyonce is freaking overrated Kelly Rowland is much better
CeCe Frey is not like Ke$ha
Taylor Swift is the worst singer of all time
'Born This Way' is a much much better album than '21'. It deserved the Grammy for 'Album of the Year'. If promoted well, with a whole lot more artistic/pro videos, rather than the wannabe feel they have and a more "serious", "inspired" album artwork it could have got it.
I don't need to listen to a woman who makes such a big deal about a jerk ('21'). I just enjoy these singles in order of liking first: 'Someone Like You', 'Set Fire To The Rain' and 'Rolling In The Deep'. 'Rumour Has It' is pretty rubbish.
Kelly Clarkson snatched Avril's pop/rock wig and Avril hasnt been able to recover since.
Mariah Carey has no emotion in her voice when she sings. Miming that dolphin shriek with hand in the air has been her gimmick for over 15 years now. Beyonce & Kelly (clarkson that is) have already surpassed Mariah vocally
Janet Jackson will have an awesome comeback when she does come back to music. There is a void in choreography in music vids right now and if she has the right material, I think she could bring it on back with a vengeance and prove she still got it. MTV is not a factor to promote her or anybody else's music anymore so that blacklist is worth dust now.
They're my opinions. BTW, I'm speaking about Adele being a singles artist in terms of her albums being full of filler and her singles being the only worthwhile songs, I'm not saying she's an artist who can't sell albums because we all know she can.
*Rihanna's team &/or Rihanna herself have the best ear for good, marketable pop music in the pop industry at the moment.
