Madonna's discography is overall one of the most innovative and sonically adventurous as a whole from all of the major post-80s pop stars. She's only beaten by Prince imo.
Lady Gaga and Beyonce are the two most capable pop stars on the planet. They are the only ones out of the current-era big pop girls that consistently prove and demonstrate their level of skill. The rest are at the mercy of hit producers.
The Fame is a pretty forgettable album. The best songs are the singles + Paper Gangsta.
MDNA is a pretty decent album. Neither of her last two efforts deserve the constant skulldragging they get on here and everywhere else. Both are a lot better if you divorce them from Madonna, the woman who made Like A Prayer and Ray of Light. As a matter of fact, Girl Gone Wild is one of the best songs of 2012.
