Also, charts count for next to nothing anymore. Billboard is honestly going the way of what the Teen Choice Awards are to music, with how many times they alter the rules so people can chart more easily and higher. You can't compare a current Pop girl's stats to someone from 10-20 years ago, since it was much harder for them to get a high charting single or "hit" album.

It's actually a lot harder to get a #1 single now, but that's off topic.

I feel the exact opposite is true. Her music is heavily overrated. She has yet to record something as innovative and classic as Crazy in Love. That remains her best song. Beyonce's music can be way better for the hype that she has. 4 was so mature & refined sonically but its a shame the lyrics had to be so elementary. Its hard to connect to her music because you dont get the sense that she lived her songs. Everything is ''I wrote this for all yall ladies out there"

My unpopular opinion is that although her success is DESERVED, I don't understand how Gaga blew up. Her music is good, but to become the biggest celebrity of the 2010 decade already I don't get it..

Like said before, I think she is very phony. The way she tweets the amount of people at her shows or that there a fans outside the hotel. It's like she's trying to prove she's so famous. I genuinely think she is obsessed with fame and would be lost without it.

"Rated R is Rihanna's best album" is one of the most overused phases, I'm pretty sure 94% of those saying it have never even heard the album.

Beyoncé IS the best performer of this generation. It's borderline fact but an unpopular opinion to stans.

Taylor Swift is annoying, nothing about her music is appealing to men or over 15's. Also incredibly phony.

I also believe she only wins so many awards because she turns up to every award show in existence so the show feels obliged to give her one.

Tweeting does not = connecting with fans. It's a lazy excuse. Posing with fans outside hotels and stuff, bringing them backstage for free, that is.

Destiny's Child would have been NOTHING without Beyoncé.

I have no intention of ever listening to a Britney Spears album. I also thing Scream and Shout is tacky and she does not look good.

The Beatles > Michael Jackson in terms of influence.
