Let's not even start with the race debate today especially since the Kardashian aren't white. They have to somewhat smart not to get screwed over and only get minimal profits of their brands. Believe it or not The Kardashian aren't that stupid but they do play stupid very well.

Whether you want it or not, stars impact people's lives.
I mean in P!nk's case, read the comments under ****ing Perfect or Family Portrait or Sober and other songs like that - so many people saying that she helped them through her music and lyrics, that she saved their lives, how it got them out of depression.
You don't have to be a doctor or a police man or a fireman to save a life. Sometimes the way you impact someone else can save their life

Music enriches peoples' lives -- how much brighter are your days made by the music you listen to, the shows you love to watch, the sports events you attend? What would life be like if we just went to school and work and stared into space and slept in between?

And again, for every entertainer that dies wealthy, there thousands upon thousands that die average or penniless. You are looking at this from a perspective of extremes and exceptions.

It doesn't matter whether something is more "useful" because that's not how it works. It's not "being a conformist", it's accepting reality. To change that, all of society would need to change and that's just not feasible, at least not without a LOT of time.

Someone mentioned that entertainers reach more people, this is a key factor in why they get paid more. Should a teacher that educates 150 students really make more money than a pop star who reaches 1 million people? The schools don't even get enough revenue to pay a teacher as much as they deserve.

In an ideal world, yes, certain professions should make more, but this is Earth and we have to come back to reality here.

That's the way that the world works though. People tell you to go to school and get an education so that you can go to university and get a degree and become a Doctor or a Laywer or whatever, but at the end of the day learning can only get you so far, it's the talent that you're born with that really gets you places.
