The only thing that's slightly similar to GaGa is just the fact that she's going out there with her fashion for this video, but that's not something GaGa has invented.

And I actually like that she's doing much more with this video and wearing out there things, it makes me as a viewer [and someone who doesn't really care for Katy] much more intrigued by it. To me it also shows she's putting in more effort than just cupcake bras.

Some of the outfits in the video are really fierce and giving me kimono teas!!

Not sure if I like the blueish avatar alien make up though, but the other pics I saw were cool.

That's a lie as well, Beyonce sited some inspiration from being around Gaga so much, Nicki IS NOT inspired by Gaga for the last time, and Katy isn't either, I don't even think Ke$ha is to be honest, no one really. People here remain so small-minded and so literal. Just like that MTV article. "Did Gaga invent aliens?" The answer to that is, "Is your IQ below 75?"

We know obscure, non-mainstream singers have always done weird ****, and they'll continue doing weird ****. They don't stand to alienate anyone.

But as far as huge, mainstream female singers are concerned, more and more are gravitating away from Britney's "I look sexy when I dance" image and embracing weird, crazy, unexpected, out-of-the-box. I'm not even talking about this Katy video.
