MTV didn't say she copied Born This Way. MTV said she was "inspired" by Gaga. That's what MTV said.

The song is called "E. T.". It'd be weird if Katy didn't play with some avant garde alien ****.

First, I don't care. That information means nothing to me.
Second, of course I would expect her to come from out of space. I'm not expecting anything different.

But Teenage Dream is crossed by a line, and you can't deny, which separates California Gurls and Teenage Dream - both fun songs and music videos - from Firework and E.T. - which talk about being proud of yourself and facing differences as a normal thing, respectively.
"What did cause this"? Nobody knows... Maybe somebody announcing they would release an album/song called Born This Way?! How could anybody know?

the title is ridiculous in itself that I wouldn't even expect anyone to take this **** seriously.
This "artists are copying Gaga" is just getting stupid and a joke at this point.
(YES IM GROUPING YOU. DEAL.) I can't even at the fact that Gaga fans like to deny every thing Gaga is claimed to 'copy' // pass it by like it's nothing... but, when they see something SOMEWHAT similar IN SOME WAY (or no way at all) they jump on it like starving animals.
