Exactly. That's the only acknowledgment I'm trying to put out there. K$ being tossed to the side as if she's had no impact whatsoever is unjust, especially when the entirety of "Teenage Dream" sounds like "Animal," despite being produced by Dr. Luke.

Haha, Nicole! Why you trippin'? Now you KNOW what I meant! Haha. As in Ke$ha's distinct
sound leading the way for the way females sound in
2010/2011.

Lady Gaga is not
electro-pop. I never understood the comparisons between Lady Gaga and Ke$ha. Their looks and sounds are completely different to me. Ke$ha is in the
electro and borderline
rave genre. Lady Gaga is purely in the
dance genre. It's softer than
electro. That being said, I disagree that Lady Gaga has "paved the way for the new girls" as you and others are constantly suggesting. In terms of music, the only thing Gaga has done was bring theatricality back to the industry, otherwise, her videos and "fashion" outshine her music. I believe Gaga has had a bigger influence in the way female pop stars dress -- going for more attention-grabbing wigs and costume wear. But her music and RedOne productions are far from ground-breaking, in my opinion.
Electro is more popular in the US than
dance, thus, a better argument would be to suggest
"The E.N.D." as being the main catalyst for a musical rebirth, rather than Lady Gaga. And from
"The E.N.D.," Ke$ha was born, the hard-hitting
female electro front-runner, and from
her success, other
females went for a hard-hitting pop sound and
"Only Girl (In The World)," the album
"Teenage Dream," and perhaps even
"Hold It Against Me," came to fruition -- this is the point I'm trying to make with this thread... not
"Britney and Katy were inspired by Ke$ha."
