Show me an 80s tour as long and expensive as nowadays.
Didnt Taylor outsold her last tour with less dates btw?

Yes, Taylor did and now Beyoncé will outgross the 1989 tour with less dates.

The hilarity of all this, is that if Beyoncé, one of the most talented, successful, long-lasting, impactful, iconic, respected, forward thinking, political, game-changing, beloved pop artists of this generation is not a legend and is not on par with them, no one else frequently fanned over on this site is anywhere close to that.

Okay she had a summer hit, but DIL wasn't a blockbuster era at all.
She's never had an era like 21, BOMT, Oops, Come on over, the bodyguard, music box etc. Where she dominated the entire music industry.
Beyonce has always been a strong competitor but never the top of the top of them all.
Right now Taylor and Adele are bigger, a few years ago Rihanna and Gaga were bigger, and in the mid 00s she got outsold by a lot of females.

She will be in the future. We need a bit more time before we are able to look back on her career and know for sure, but she consistently shows the attributes of a legend.

She's not at the same level as Madonna . Maybe Mariah and Whitney. She's definitely bigger than Janet and Celine

Excuse me?
Did you not see where I said summer and fall? All of summer 2003, Crazy in Love was a hit. All of fall 2003, Baby Boy was a hit. She continued with another hit in Me, Myself and I and Naughty Girl followed that in the spring of 2004. Even her soundtrack song from The Fighting Temptations, Summertime charted not the R&B/Hip Hop charts for 4 0 consecutive weeks. The album went on to match Alanis Morissette's record 5 Grammy wins in one night. It has sold 10 million copies.
So I guess that's not a blockbuster era?

She will be amongst those ranks once she's past her peak, as all of those women mentioned are. She's still at perhaps what will be the apex of her career.

Those albums in bold were released before digital sales peaked. The only outstanding performance was 21 because it sold 28 million copies after 2011.
Lemonade has surpassed any other female release this year and the Formation World Tour is outgrossing every female tour out there as well. If that isn't being on top.
Those who outsold her in the mid-00s are nowhere to be found now, in case you were trying it with Avril Lavigne, Norah and Britney Spears. Even Mariah isn't capable of selling more than 500k worldwide in this current market and she's one of the girls Beyoncé is being compared to in the OP.

Also this argument of "she was never THEEEE TOP GIRL" is so flawed.

I think the major downside of Beyonce's success is that she never really captures the zeigeist of any period. Yes she has hits here and there but she's never really served a complete slayage of hit after hit after hit.
Madonna and Whitney's songs defined the sound of the 80's.
Janet's new jack swing sound was iconic and screamed late 80's.
Mariah/Celine/Whitney had the 90's soundtrack smashes and ballads
Britney/Gaga/Rihanna's music at their prime represented that time period.
With Beyonce she was just kind of there with a hit here and there (until 2009). Her consistency is crazy though. Her career trajectory definitely reminds me of Tina Turner's.

For him, whose opinion is clearly biased since he's a dedicated hater, it isn't a blockbuster.

Im not saying the eras wasn't very successful, it was very successful but is not a blockbuster era at all.
A blockbuater era would be something like BOMT or 21, were they completely dominated the entire music industry. 1989 and the fame will fit better in a blockbuster era status because of their entire domination.
Back in 2002-2003 Avril debuted with 17 million copies sold, is not a blockbuster era but she completely destoyed DIL sales and impact wise.
Lbr im a fan of beyonce but im not gonna create fairytales to make her look bigger than what she really is.

Irreplaceable begs to differ. Don't you remember how many artists had their knockoff versions and it put that whole soft n sassy ballad into the mix of pop music?

Cyndi Lauper, Shania Twain, and Paula Abdul also have (more than one) blockbuster eras therefore they MUST be at the same level of the women in the OP too!

DIL isn't a blockbuster era, it only sold 8 million in 2003 and took 13 years to sell another 2 million.
For 2003 8m is good but not outstanding when a lot of acts were selling a lot more than that.

Beyonce is a month away from being the most awarded act in VMA history
Beyonce is second in line as the most awarded female in Grammy history
Emmy nominations for her album
Will end up with the highest grossing female tour this decade
Highest selling (and most expensive) album of 2016 so far
Legacy is drug and scandal free
She's fine
