The only right answer is stop overrating the **** out of this woman.

No one listed can sing and dance better than her, though some can sing or dance better than her.
But since when has controversy and polarization meant that you are at a certain level? Not to mention the last 6 months when actual police officers were planning to boycott her.
The only right answer is stop underrating the **** out of this woman.

Idk, she's always been kinda successful but she has never been the super mega successful monster everyone is listening to. She has a huge loyal cult fanbase, but the GP doesn't consume her at all, that's why shd doesn't have any hits right now.
The women in the OP had blockbuster eras, beyonce has never had a blockbuster era, idk she's not there yet. It doesn't feel like it.

And Beyoncé hasn't created a template for others to follow? Basically every pop'n'b diva these days is influenced by Beyoncé or Destiny's Child in some way, in either staging, concept, or singing style. And at a time it was almost every pop'n'b diva being churned out as almost exact replicas of Beyoncé (thinks: Rihanna, Christina Milan, etc.) Extending farther than females, we have a whole list of people following the Beyoncé-suprise-release-template.
What is meant by saying they have time is that with time, your legend and your respect and reverence really grows. There's a huge difference in how the world perceives you between being in your heyday and being past it.

She's always being called out for her "creativity".. She's not original and I wish yall will stop trying to elevate her status among actual legends who shaped music and popular culture.

Her album sales have never been great and her singles don't perform well so I'd put her on the same level as Celine Dion

Talent wise she destroys them in some areas tho, but success and impact wise, she's still far behind.

I don't think she's there yet. These women have been there for so long. Let's wait some years.

Should we make a list of times that Mariah, Janet, Whitney and Madonna have referenced and/or used other pieces of pop culture or artist's work in theirs? It would be a long one.

No, she has little to 0 impact when it comes to music, like innovating, setting trends etc

So I'm not about to argue with her fan about her own inspiration. That's all for today.

I said: "I think she was just inspired by the fact that Beyonce was well known". I knew she was inspired. The question was in what way? Because in terms of personality, musically, visually she was not inspired by her. That's all.

They are so anxious to put Bey in this legendary category. No publications or critics have said she's legendary. I just can't!

Beyoncé's would be longer. She has them beat in that.

This is another example of the Hive hyping her up and making her seem way bigger than she is.
She doesn't have the impact,
She doesn't have the sales,
She doesn't have the talent,
To be on the level of these legends. She isn't one herself. No hate, just the truth.

Where were you in the summer and fall of 2003 when Crazy in Love was number one for eight consequitve weeks and then swiftly followed up with Baby Boy's nine consecutive weeks at number one? Which other artist was dominating music in that moment?

So you're telling us Dangerously In Love and I Am...Sasha Fierce never existed? Because those were blockbuster albums.
