Because like Mariah and Mary J blige who publicly went through issues...Britney is a pop culture, pop music and entertainment legend.
Her new music serves as a business card for stans and fairweather fans to comeback.
Gaga is an icon.
Gaga needs this era to solidify as an icon that has what it takes to be a legend.
Not looking so good right now but we'll see.
An icon is removable from the GP. It's a snapshot in time that people only identify with for a period of time.
Of the recent generation, Taylor has achieved this, Rihanna as well, Adele might not need to.
Now it's up to Gaga and Katy to push past being an icon for the moment.
Will LG5 and KP4 achieve this?
