We always have announcements when we introduce new rules...
Where are they? If this were true I'm sure we'd all know by now.
Sticking an announcement of new rules to the top of a page in a certain section doesn't count as an announcement, it'd be best to place it at the top of the page alongside the date and time so everyone will actually have a chance to see it
Members who report too often should receive a WP when they reach a certain threshold in a specified span of time. Some people are just too report-happy on harmless comments, and it ruins the fun of the site tbh. Like any one of those members who reports like 50+ times per quarter is just ridiculous and should really reconsider why they come to ATRL when their main reason to hit the report button every 8 hours.
There should be a WP for people who report harmless threads without giving a valid reason.
If you have nothing to contribute to an ongoing discussion or plan on bringing light to something that needs attention then you feel free to exit.
It was an observation not a complaint. Unless a mod takes issue with my presence here I can stay as long as I want honey. Someday you guys will figure out that majority of your complaints will go unanswered in this thread.
I remember some months back when I asked if posting in threads and/or quoting a post with a person's avi was warnable and I was told by a mod that it was fine as long as their avi was not a real life picture of them. So there is a new rule, or rather adding onto an already made rule
We haven't added any new rules, that's why there's no announcement.
I don't recall saying there was I'm merely pointing out thay there should be one made in the way I'm suggesting so that everyone will be of notice and won't be unfairly warned is all

That's not what they're complaining about.
In the last few weeks there's been this dumb trend of hijacking threads by posting only an avatar/gif/short phrase with the intent to fill as much pages as possible with the same thing over and over. That has always been considered disruptive and even if none of the posts were reported the mods have now started to warn every single one of them and that's why people are complaining now.
So if it's against the rules to post flamebait avatars in the base, is it against the rules to post one that's a rotating link between another non-flamebait pic? For example this link is a katy gif and then a distorted Gaga flamebait pic.
? Anyone know the answer to this. Every time you refresh the gif it changes back and forth from flamebait to non-flamebait. People could end up using it unknowingly and posting vile crap they didn't know it would change into - or they could be doing it on purpose like the case here. It shouldn't be allowed to have links like this.

Even if they're the same so what? ATRL always talks about the same stuff anyway.
And the rules define spam as advertising so if you're trying to get those posts warned then try another category.
