To say that Mariah didn't deserve to be on the list is blasphemy. And to say that popularity doesn't equal quality doesn't really hold water. Because if they were going by that criteria a lot of artists that are on there wouldn't be on there. Rolling Stone just hates Mariah for some reason. I remember when their readers voted One Sweet Day the greatest duet of all time, the editors threw a fit. Who knows why? Probably they're just mad that a mixed female not only equalled, but surpassed the achievements of all their favorite artists from way back when they were founded in the 60's and 70's. Too bad they haven't been particularly relevant recently running on shock tactics and political commentary to draw interest. At the end of the day Mariah will have impacted music far more than a lot of the people on that list. Just look at how every few years someone is labelled the next Mariah, but is never able to come close to the musical genius that is Mariah. Often imitated, never duplicated.

Yeah, the list is very flawed and there are artists who dont deserve it in my humble opinion, but are you really saying that a lot of artists are there just because of their popularity without quality to back them up? Hmmm, thats interesting. Please be so kind and name them all for us
And if the list is as awful as you claim, why are you so bothered that your fave hasnt made it?
