I'll admit, Hip-Hop has made me infatuated with street culture. I've always kinda wished I could've said I grew up in a rough neighborhood. Nobody really gets interested when you tell them about your boring, upper-class pre-dominantley elderlyJewish community.
I'd rather live in a ghetto city with all the drugs, crimes, prostitution, etc... than live in the suburbs. It's much more colorful and alive. I would be constantly entertained.
Well, I'd rather live in a non-"ghetto" City and since there are many of those, I thankfully never have to submit myself to the mind-numbing druggery of suburbia.
I was raised in the suburbs but my mother grew up in the hood and she only goes to visit relatives or we she needs to.
My mother's hometown isn't that bad but she doesn't like it tho and I understand why.
I wish Americans could understand the plague of the chav.
"Da fuq u lukin at wee lad I'll do yer windies in!" Ah the joy of drinking white lightening and buckfast outside the local chinese. Classy ****.
I'm gonna go and stereotype the **** outta your ass but you're from Glasgow, yeah? I've been. It's....pleasant.
Instead of Jerry Springer and Maury, we've got Jeremy Kyle. Here's a clip:
So ratchet.
Anyway, I'm from Manchester. There's a suburb here called Moss Side which is notorious for its shootings and gangland violence. It gave us the nickname "Gunchester"
