I talked pilot wise, Rachel can connect to this song much more than the others.
Now your just pressed.
Naya has sung SO MANY TIMES this season. It's RACHEL time to shine since she IS THE LEAD and she's the most interesting character.
Not it's Lea's time to shine like she hasn't sang the whole bible & back.
I love Rachel but she is not the most interesting.
this was a good version. Beyonce's is better, but it did it quite justice. i love the song, and i feel like when they show how the song fits in the story, i will love the cover even more.
GREAT. The second half of this season they have great covers unlike the first half that was so BAD.
this! they barely covered mainstream songs last season, and don't get me wrong, i like to hear some diversity and covers of my favorite broadway shows just as much as the next person, but that was literally the only thing they were covering the first half of this season, and if it was mainstream then it was something from the early to mid 2000s
DEATH. She has twice the range Beyonce does. She is one of Broadway's rising stars. She gave her all and it was solid. But I will say that it lacked a slight dept that Beyonce managed to invoke for this track. But that will come with experience. Lea did very well.
No sis. I love Lea, but these delusions are too much.
Lea's vocal range is just over 2 octaves and her lowest note is an unimpressive F3. Beyonce's lower register descends all the way down to G#2 which is almost a full octave lower.
In other words, Bey's lower register >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >> Lea's.

No. Lies. I LOVE Santana but the girl has limitations. If you noticed, she has yet to sing a true ballad where her vocals are truly put to the test. No sustained notes and she always has a touch of auto-tuned. Santana might have been able to get away by doing this as a duet by starting the song and doing the lower harmony but this song really did belong to Lea.
Is this not a true ballad where her vocals are put to the test without autotune?
Not every singer's strength is in belting at the top of their chest. Just as Lea is amazing in her mid-upper register and weaker in her lower, Santana is stronger in her mid-lower register and weaker in her upper.
