I looked at the tracklisting before the album was released and was like... Erm Taylor sis... Enchanted, Never Grow Up, Haunted... And then it turned out the three of them were like the most mature songs on the album. I think their titles to them a disservice. Adults might browse the tracklisting in the shop and be like "Er I'm not here for kiddy Disney ****". Also Taylor was going to call her album Enchanted - which would have been a disaster - until her producer told her not to. Taylor is so smart but then sometimes it's like

And TSOU was really so meh.

Sparks Fly also sounds ordinary on first listen. That's why i was surprised that it was one of the faves.

The first time I listened to Enchanted, I thought the chorus was so forced, until after my fourth or so listen that I began to appreciate the song...

It definitely does not sound like Love Story. But the songwriting style between the two is soooo similar. Especially starting from the bridge.

Also, "Sparks Fly" (I'm captivated by you baby like a fireworks show) not being followed by "Dear John" (I'm shining like fireworks over your sad empty town) when the latter seems like a clear follow-up to the former, is almost as big a travesty as "White Horse" not following "Love Story" in Fearless' tracklisting.

Can we both be one of her team? Really. She needs somebody to tell her that her tracklisting so far is the pits.
