There's many reasons why; his look, he is a faceless artist, we don't know him personally, he's not shoved in our faces and he's a watered down version of many older male pop stars.

Agreed. Also his music doesn't shift albums. I mean his album sales were atrocious. It was ok at best but nothing special. Also he's like a CB/MJ mashup with bad vocals live. He was dire at the MOBOs. Just as bad as Alexis Jordan.
