It did happen. After the remix was removed, the original shot to #1 and then they put the remix back on and both versions of ET took the #1 and #2 spots.

Because Capitol is smart. The exposure for the album version gave it enough to linger around in the 30s. Meanwhile E.T. fet Kanye already had a huge lead from TBEP which is even more with the versions combined. It was one of the most powerful leads in 2011.

Either that or it was a glitch or it got hacked.

it was tactic move...remove the remix (highest charting) from itunes forcing ppl to buy the original (somewhere in the 50's) and when it gets that top 10 exposure....put the remix back up

it worked for like a day but the original went to a steady fall back to its 50's

If I remember correctly, the original version lingered around 20 - 30 for quite a while after the remix.
