HipHop fanbase is much more used to purcahsing music coz pop music is based more in casual buyers than music-genre fans

I mean like, hip hop/RnB, maybe for every legal download there's 50 illegal downloads, for the average pop song it might be 30 illegal downloads for each legal download, and then for country songs it might be 10 illegal downloads.
Hip hop (at least, the type in the charts) mainly appeals to males aged 12-25 perhaps, and that's probably the demographic that most likely to illegally download.
You're right that pop music appeals more to the casual listener. You get Lady Gaga and Adele fans that are like 5 year-old kids, and also 55 year-old women, neither of which would typically illegally download (and might not even know how to!).
Check on Google or something. I've read studies saying similar things to this before.
