Actually, no. Arguably, the Amazon deal damaged her. If it weren't for the amazon deal those numbers would have spread out more consistently with 200/300k sales a week.

Regardless, the Amazon deal got got hardly any promotion. Only pop ******s like us would know about it. Why would you buy something for $20 when you could get it for 99 cents? I'm sure there were people who were gonna buy it full price if the Amazon deal never happened.

can someone tell me why people say she got screwed up? She just didnt sell or is selling enough. There is no ones fault and no one to blame. wtf? Get it real people. MD was meant to gain urban buyers and CBK was meant to gain crossover appeal. Gaga obviously had more promotion, her album is risky and different. You also can't use Gaga's promo against her. She is committed to this album. Rihanna isn't committed and released a new album before her other album's singles releases and tour ended.

Singles are NOT enough to sell albums especially when you're Rihanna and most people don't know which album selling because you release them so frequently....that's the reason that artist attend televised events/award shows/interview and perform their music so that the public is aware of their album. Rihanna works her ass of and has yet to take a break, I'm pretty sure she's committed to her music and her career...
