Are you forgetting about simple logic? How about we consider the fact that many of the people who bought it from Amazon were going to buy the album full price, if not for the deal? But alas, when deals pop up, why shouldn't you buy it for a lesser price? I'm sure there were many Amazon buyers who would have bought it for full price.

It needs all the help it can get to achieve success.

You also can't use Gaga's promo against her. She is committed to this album. Rihanna isn't committed and released a new album before her other album's singles releases and tour ended.
