Britney needs to step up a little in order to maintain decent sales. She'll always be relevant though, just cause she is Britney Spears. Xtina could have her comeback and be a little more dominant than Britney if she does the right thing. But she will always be in Britney's shadow.

Stripped released 11 months after Britney and 13 months before In The Zone.
Based solely on this, it was closer to Britney.

But also, Stripped first single was released less than a month after the last Britney single and 12 months before the first In the Zone single.

It is definitely much closer to Britney, than In The Zone.

I don't even think they should be pit against one another anymore, they're both past their prime. Britney obviousbly won the "battle" when they were competing. Both are grown mature women now with the same priorities, and that's being a mother to their kids. Britney has stated several times that at this point in her life her kids come first before anything. And I'm sure the same applies for Christina.

Christina even attended the F.F. tour and wished Britney the best of luck via twitter, any ill feelings Christina had toward Britney is now deceased.

Actually **** it I'll say what I wanna say and just try to be careful. Britney is huge no matter how much her album sells. Her slave 4 u performance is iconic despite the song not reaching the top 20, Toxic is seen as one of the best songs of all time and Iconic but barely made the top 10 in the US. Her meltdownn made her the most reported celeb in the world. Whenever she releases a single now it goes straight to number 1. Everything Britney does is big no matter how successful it is. Meanwhile Xtina seems to be constantly overshadowed and no-one cares that much. In her first era Britney completely overshadowed her and she wasn't even that popular internationally. In Stripped she was almost on top but even then she didn't get to experience been the top selling girl (that went to Avril while Xtina sold the same as Pink) and the only iconic/game changing thing she's ever done is beautiful. In Back to basics she was overshadowed by Beyonce and couldn't get any huge singles and I wont even go into Bionic.

Well Christina's talent could take her a long way, but we all know that talent = success is a lie.

And Britney is just much more likeable. Part of me just wants her to be more successful, I mean no one wants a bitch to succeed.

I love Britney, but I honestly don't see her maturing into a new sound as she gets older. Britney's vocal are very limited, confining her to upbeat dance/pop tracks and where does a woman over the age of thirty five fit into that niche? I mean, she's thirty and music sounds NO DIFFERENT from how it did when she started out.

Christina, on the other hand, has the vocal talent to be able to smoothly shift into a mature sound as she grows older. She can easily transition into fiery, young pop-star into mature, refined vocalist.
