I mean, if we look into the future even further than 10 years from now....
Britney will likely retire before she even hits 40. And at the rate she's going, that will probably be for the best. She'll be remembered as a pop culture icon and that will be enough for her.
Meanwhile, at age 50+, Xtina will still probably on some future equivalent of Divas Live, giving it her all with whatever amount of voice she has left in her. She'll release albums every few years, regardless of sales, and be remembered as one of her generations "greatest voices."

So what I mean to say is, however you look at the girls' success wise, it's pretty clear that Xtina is going to be in the music industry for the long haul. Meanwhile, maybe Britney will find other passions (possibly outside of the entertainment industry all together.)

Imagine like more high-profile versions of what Paula Abdul and Cyndi Lauper are today.
Why are Britney fans all of a sudden singing a different tune. weren't they the first to say that Britney never flops and that she is consistent because she is a legend? I always said talent prevails. I wish some of yall bookmaeked me on that. Whelp.
I honestly don't see Britney doing much in the next 10 years aside from this Vegas residency and maybe another album before finally retiring. she'll probably stick with the residency thing for a few years if tickets sell and people are interested.
Christina on the other hands, I see her dropping at least two albums in the next 10 years. no more than 3, though. I also see her getting into more films and being on the voice periodically until it gets cancelled. Christina seems to be winning people over and all of her recent collaborations are a success, she might just pull through and deliver a solid era with her next album. All she needs is a "Emancipation of X-Tina" type album and she'll probably do one more major tour and then end up in Vegas doing a residency herself.
My friends all stan for Say Something and love X's voice on it. This is her format! She needs to forget all about pop and record an ADELE-esque album that has a bit of a soft rock edge to it. She should have Ryan Tedder write her some songs and see how it goes.
I want to see X rise from the ashes like a legendary phoenix.
