No, no, no. I read and understood that part. But I also feel that people like you are drawing these conclusions from responses over the Internet, when I seriously doubt the average person in the real world cares that much about another person's musical taste or if someone cares if they're cool or not. And it's sad for those folks who think you're cool if you're an Adele fan because most cool people wouldn't even use her. Adele is no Arcade Fire. If you're talking about the bandwagoners, they come with the territory. Each artist has them, just like haters. They're paying the light bill. But I don't totally dismiss your point. Time will tell.

I form my own opinions and don't draw
my "conclusions from responses over the internet."
I'm sorry you felt you've seen my opinion before, but do note that it is statistically impossible that I would be the
only person in the world to have expressed a singular thought or opinion online. Others may and will have a similar opinion to mine, just as you will have similar opinions to others. As for Adele, I believe you're taking my statement on the "cool factor" a little
too literally. I'm more referring to bandwagoners, who will "stop being fans" when her albums aren't on the top of iTunes.

I criticize and question those I love all the time. Why has the tenor and timbre of Mariah's voice changed? Can she truly ever be an interpreter of lyric? Will she age gracefully?
Why are so many of Kylie's albums so ... fillerific? Is she really, at this stage of her career, totally in control? Was she ever?
Will Bey ever release a perfect album? Why are so many of her unreleased tracks ... frankly terrible? But not as bad as some of the stuff that makes it onto the albums proper? (I'm talking about IA...SF mainly).
Is the real reason Robyn can't break out into Top 40 because her songs aren't catchy enough? Does she not have the "x-factor?" Do some only like her because she's unsuccessful?
See? My four favorite pop stars. It's easy, and so much more rewarding than if I were to "question" someone who angered or bored me. Imagine a whole thread about Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.

There was no need for you to prove to me that you
can criticize artists you enjoy. And as I already stated:

In the above statement, I'm telling you that I have no qualms with criticizing artists that I enjoy,
if I feel something is questionable,
but in order for me to open a discussion, the criticism has to be interesting
to me and something that will yield a good or entertaining discussion. It's all about preference. Will making a thread asking, "
Why are Kylie Minogue's albums so fillerific?" garner adequate discussion? Unlikely. However, will making a thread asking,
"Will Beyoncé ever make a perfect album?" yield good conversation? Yes, because it's a simple, interesting, and
loaded question. It's all about preference, Ace.
P.S. I would highly suggest you create that Beyoncé thread in the very near future.
