And even if this other girl did decide to ride RedOne's production talents into superstardom, she'd probably decide not to work with RedOne on her third (maybe second, depending on who you ask) album, or at least limit his input, and come up with material that sounds soooo incredibly dissimilar to anything RedOne would have created.

This could have been funny if RedOne had actually been a known hit producer in the music biz like Dr. Luke... But he wasn't.
.......
Anyway, I think it's worth pointing out that Kesha was able to rise in the midst of complete GaGa infacuation and still stake out a slice of land for herself. Whatever she returns with will be with a hit, and she will be a "factor" once more.

(She is the perfect example of a singles artist).

I'm definitely not here for people who don't know what they're talking about.

Your expectations aren't very high then.

Only on ATRL would you find something like this. Plenty of artists "disappear" between albums. It can be a good thing - the public starts missing them.
Ke$ha has proven her talent, I'm sure she'll come back hard. I hope she does actually, she's one of the few real, semi-articulate artists we have out these days. The VMAs made me realize that. Dx

I've always wondered how Ke$ha landed with Dr Luke.
We know Gaga landed with RedOne b/c (in his own words) he was a flop who kept being fed unsigned artists and she'd just been dropped.
But as for the Ke$has and Katys miraculously landing in the laps of the industry's #1 producer...

My shade was more directed towards Nicole than towards Gaga. I do apologize if I seemed overly critical of Gaga. That wasn't my intent.
Nicole has made it known on numerous occasions that she finds Ke$ha's reliance on Dr. Luke a bit tacky. In my mind, most popstars are reliant (at least for parts of their careers) on certain of-the-moment producers. It's the smartest way to play the game, and I find Gaga (and many others) guilty of the same thing for which Nicole and a few others chastise Ke$ha.

I hate one-trick ponies, that's why I'm glad Gaga bombed with Judas.

A top 10 hit and ~800K sold isn't necessarily a "bomb"

You know when kids trace over a picture using transparent paper? Bad Romance is the picture and Judas is the 4-year-old's piss-poor tracing. It flopped.

Dr. Luke signed Ke$ha in 2005 to his label, Kemosabe Entertainment . After the success of Right Round, she signed with RCA which granted her with a multi-album deal

Just because an artist is taking a break, does not mean their is career is over. She only released one album and a re-release. Don't be so quick to call her a "non-factor" already.

A weak, embarrassing Poker Face / LoveGame electropop **** anthem wannabe that didn't get that the fun of those songs is their silly playfulness (bluffing w/ my muffin, take a ride on your disco stick) and spelled everything out humorlessly (I'm kissing all the boys and the girls).
