She's never been a global star like the others girls, though. We'll have to wait and see what she brings with her next album, but I think she should release it sooner rather than later. It's never a good idea to take a really long break unless you have to.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks she may pull a Teenage Dream.

This.
She's had a good run, but people have gotten tired of the same old, so she'll probably change it up next year. It's hard to believe she's only been here since 2010; seems like she's been around for years.

Was Kesha ever really the "it" girl? I mean Tik Tok was definitely a huge song, but I feel like it was more representative of the public interest in Dr. Luke style productions. I don't think anyone ever really cared too much about her as an individual artist. After the initial "Is this the new Gaga?" talk, she never really built a strong image for herself except as the drunk party girl which has become a joke in itself. She seems to be shying away from that characterization anyway.
She definitely seems to be a relatively successful singles artist, especially when she's paired with Dr. Luke on a strong pop track. Outside of that, I think she has little force in the industry.

I miss her too...
I hope there will be SOMETHING noteworthy coming from her during her break in fall and winter (must not necessarily be music). Maybe a Ke$ha faux fur collection, or glittery race cars? --> http://www.bellasugar.com.au/Kehas-H...tials-19075210

She can't afford to take a break, we've seen so many take a break and when they come back it's over for them.

Never count anyone out. Ke$ha's success has 100% relied on others, so if she once again relies on the right people, she could have more.

She is in a break like most artists usually do (except Rihanna) , but I think she is fading away, she is not the "it girl" she may be successful again, but I don't think she will be as huge as she was with Tik Tok

WTF? It's way too early to say that she's a non-factor just because she's been kinda inactive for like 5 minutes. It would have been very easy to make the same assumption about Katy Perry during the time between her 2 albums... But clearly that isn't the case now.

I think that her first single might be a little weak, because while WRWWR and Blow was pretty good, she didn't have a Tik Tok to back her momentum up on this one. But she will regain her respect and might even have a smash towards the end of the era. Kinda like Rated R and RB. Everyone thought she was done, but then she pulls out RB and unexpectantly topped for 5 weeks.
But to answer the question, it's an absolute YES. She makes good music, but her album, her singles, her videos, her little to non-existant awards, her flopping tour, everything, basically is weak. She's just un-professional. She doesn't even know how the industry works...I've seen her interviews.

She hardly is. Wait for her next album to pass judgement on this.

Yeah, but she's still just a vapid **** who relies on hit-makers like Dr. Luke to produce all of her material. Would any other girl be as shameless as to milk the signature, insta-hit, sound of a producer like, I don't know, RedOne? Probably not. And even if this other girl did decide to ride RedOne's production talents into superstardom, she'd probably decide not to work with RedOne on her third (maybe second, depending on who you ask) album, or at least limit his input, and come up with material that sounds soooo incredibly dissimilar to anything RedOne would have created.

I sort of feel like Tik Tok was a Just Dance/Rolling in the Deep moment and she failed to capitalize on it properly. Her second single didn't flop, but it was nothing special and she let her public presence dwindle over time.

I think it's a bit too soon to write Ke$ha off as a non-factor. Her next album will be the real test.
I've never really expected her to achieve Gaga-like notoriety, and I assumed her status as an "it girl" of sorts would come to an end sooner rather than later. She's already a bonafide singles artist and I don't see that changing, but I think that's something she can milk. There are a select few who can't sell albums, garner a pitiful amount of press coverage, and yet they still manage to have one or two big hit songs every couple years. Ke$ha can become the slightly more successful Sean Kingston, and I'll be content with that.

The ****? Is it necessary to write an essay like this to shade Gaga? And yeah, BTW doesn't sound like The Fame, that's why she lost so many fans. Now compare TEOG and You and I to Poker Face/ Just Dance. Wow, they're SOOOOOOOOO different, just like how TTWE sounds so dissimilar to Blow.

Animal, Teenage Dream, Cannibal and Femme Fatale all sound like they were written by the same team hungry to please teenagers.
