Pink Friday is very poppy rap album though. Probably one of the poppiest rap albums I've heard in awhile. Do you have any proof that this is the reason? I swear outside of ATRL, I hear nothing about Natalia Kills. Most people do not even know who she is, so how would they know that she copied GaGa? At least Nicki actually built up a reputation by doing collaborations and had a ton of buzz due to her mixtapes before bursting out into this pop star. I seriously doubt copying someone else's style has anything to do with how successful or unsuccessful one artist is.

It can hinder success, though. Isn't it common sense that if someone is famous, and known for a particular image, that someone who has a very similar image is going to have a hard time earning success?
