“I think it’s amazing. She’s largely responsible along with others who have brought dance to the kind of mainstream or pop arena in the States.

These days, it seems as if everyone is getting in on the dance-music craze, which has been fueled by chart-topping releases by everyone from Lady Gaga and Ke$ha to the Black Eyed Peas and Akon. "We have wonderful artists to thank, like Gaga, who have opened up the doors and just really made it start to be a thing," the former Destiny's Child member told MTV News when she stopped by the offices on Wednesday (May 26).
I must admit it's Gaga. I never paid attention to Christina until Stripped. I was not fond of teen pop. I used to think before that Christina was just another Britney until she evolved into a real diva in Stripped then I began to stan for her.
I Adore all these songs but none of them are Eurodance. Eurodance is Bad Romance, Poker Face, Hold It Against Me, I Wanna Go, Kate Ryan, Cascada, Ocean Drive, Inna, Basshunter, Groove Coverage, Ace of Base, Mylene Farmer or Aqua
How about "The Fame Ball" tour, and music videos from the era (Paparazzi, Poker Face). Gaga brought performance art back.
No, she didn't.
She copied people like Madonna, Grace Jones or Roisin Murphy and recycled their style and songs. People tend to forget everything, so they call it revolutionary and innovative for the second time.
The Fame sold 12 million so I'd say its about equal in terms of album sales success. When Christina released her debut sales were far far greater so 12 million in 2009/10 is easily equivalent to 17 million albums in 1999/2000.
Saying Stripped got her noticed, it did not at all. It definitely gave her a new image, but she received 0 number ones from that album. CA gave her 3 number ones, and a top 3.

Hmmm, maybe that's why I said BACK. Either way Gaga is a much better artist than Xtina anyway so why bother?
