WMN could've easily been recorded by Nicole Sfdsdhjtffhhjfder or Keri Hilson. Where is the sonic growth? Nowhere.. If you take AGLM and GGGB you can see the growth and can never be compared. GGGB and Rated R don't even sound like the same artist at times. The sound was different from any of her previous album and showed growth. Rated R to QUIET is like a downgrade. GGGB to QUIET is like a boring radio friendly generic replica with a little Carribean flavor.

But sis, GGGB is almost as generic as Loud. If it wasn't for "Umbrella", "Don't Stop The Music", "Disturbia", and a few other songs, GGGB would be her most generic album to date - even worse than MOTS and AGLM's most generic songs combined.

I do agree that going from RR to Loud didn't give her much room for artistic growth, as she had reached her peak during the RR era, in terms of growth. I think that the next album will definitely be a step up from Loud, but I do not think that Loud is a bad album in any way. For a few months, I
hated Loud - until I gave it a second chance with no other Rihanna albums in mind. Then I was able to take it for what it truly was - a fun, carefree dance album full of radio-friendly hits. Any of Rihanna's albums that would have followed RR would pale in comparison - no doubt. No matter how amazing or ****** the album would be. As stans, we just have to appreciate what we are given. I respect your opinion on Loud, though. If you don't like it, nobody can change that but you.
