Good to see Gaga continues dominating the ATRL (and pop music) conversation. Getting people to talk, argue, compare, revisit the past, etc, etc.

First off, why is it anytime that "Gaga" and "copy" are used in the same sentence she gets ripped to shreds? When the ratio of something Gaga-esque for any particular artist is the same as the ratio of something Madonna-esque for Gaga's work, Gaga always ends up as the enemy. Its a ****ed up double standard.
Secondly, this the just the media's way. They do this with any artist with a very precise and extreme image, not just Gaga (Think Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love, Prince, etc.). These artists obviously deserve praise for their dedication throughout their career to go all out with their image, but that doesn't mean that anytime anyone does anything similar they are always copying. The media will continue to accuse though because as soon as any artist continually shows dedication to a type of look (avant-garde, weird, rough, flamboyant, etc) anyone who tries to pull that off is just their clone. The media has always done this and letting their irrelevant opinion and attempts to piss you off actually get to you is only feeding the cycle.
Thirdly, clearly Katy is copying Adele. Everyone know Adele copyrighted the cleft chin

Honest, if Rih fans are saying she started it all or not, I'm going to have to agree and say she revamped the "dark" and "edgy" feel/look in the pop industry. That's just my opinion, anyway.
I mean... when Gaga first started out... I didn't see her talking about monsters and having blood everywhere and all this dark **** that came out of no where :/

Well I don't think Katy is copying Gaga with E.T. The "dark, edgy" Rihanna was the Rated R era though, and that was the same time as TFM so one can't have copied the other.

It's not about the "dark, edgy" style 
It's all about the dress, the theme and the poster she used to promote E.T. that looks like the one Gaga created first

I did think her label may have gotten ideas from the Gaga poster, but only the poster idea, not how it looked.

I don't think anyone would be copying anyone and I never thought that about any of the girls around now. Maybe they both came up to revamp it, but, my eyes saw Rih first so I can only go with that hahaha!
"Copy" sounds so disgusting.
Especially since it's been thrown around so damn much from what 09 till now? idfk.
