I think that Interscope did suggest every hour airplay, but I think that her name and all the crazy monsters on twitter constantly tweeting every radio station for the past month or so was enough to seal the deal. I mean look at the reaction FLZ has gotten
"We were the first station in the world to play the song and it got us into the worldwide TWITTER Trending list, which is huge! Big props to DREW HALL, our Creative Services Dir. and Online Content Coordinator for staying up all night manning FACEBOOK, TWITTER, and getting the single on the air in record time!"
At the end of the day if people don't want to hear something then a station won't play it, no matter how much they're 'payed'.

I didn't agree with what they were saying, but I wondered if they were saying it out of malice or if there was any truth to it at all. Part of the reason I've been looking forward to the release of this song was not just so I could hear it, but also because I knew it was going to break these records. It was clear once Britney did it, GaGa could pull much larger numbers. I didn't expect her radio updates to be this monstrous, but I'm not complaining. The only downside is that because the song has been incredibly popular from the get-go, it's going to effect its popularity down the line. This probably won't have longevity like some of her other releases, but I could be wrong.
