how does that disqualify it from being a treat? If she lets her fans see her most personal place that is connected to her childhood and she feels the most comfortable in it then...that doesn't discredit my point, right?
It is just my opinion. Like I said. I interpret things differently from how you might.
I just don't see the video as a 'treat' for fans and I do like Utada. I'm not a huge fan, but I do love some of her music... I just think it was quite a lazy attempt and didn't show that much appreiciation.

but the point is that your interpretation and mine aren't mutually exclusive
also I don't think budget determines how much appreciation an artist has for the fans.
Christina's "The Voice Within" probably had a miniscule budget and it was the last Single from Stripped...and we still loved it and didn't take it as lazy at all.
Were any of those videos up close and personal with their respective fans. If not, they aren't relevant to this conversation.
Colors had a nice enough video but its not like it was made for the purpose of treating her fans.
Um, firstlove said nothing about close & personal with fans.
He said that artists don't spend money on videos for singles of a best of album which isn't true, especially in Japan.
Yeh but it was relevant to what firstlove said in the post before.
I guess so.
and in regards to your last point. I will say once again, you have your opinion, Utada fans have another, and not matter how different they are, neither is wrong. When you have a video up for interpretation, there is no right answer

I have not mentioned that indication of an artists appreciation for the fans is shown in the budget....
Your slightly getting me wrong...
Although I said a high bedget video would be massive send off and a massive treat for fans I also said that having a low budget video with real fans in the actual video would also be a treat...

Your putting me in an entire different group. Although I am not a hardcore fan... I am still a fan of Utada. I just don't show it enough. You'll see in my blogs, my countdown that I am a fan. Your also speaking for all of the Utada fans. For all you know an Utada fan could have exactly the same opinion as mine.

I made the groups like that for the sake of simplicity. I'm sure there is at least one Utada stan out there that has your point of view but that is not what you should take from my post. The important thing you should take from my post is, no one is wrong.
