Its Facebook. Before saying someone exposed something "confidential" we should find out whether or not "Skyler" has his profile set to private. If not, we could see all of this ****. It would be like me making a post on here, and then saying it was "confidential" information. Nothing on the internet is confidential. All I can say is, if you're going to speak your hateful opinion, then "suffer the punishments". End of!

Again, no one is going to go out of their way to actually harm these ignorant individuals.
I don't agree w/ that last sentence.

I agree.
And I don't see the contents in this thread as cyber bullying. What these facebook people posted classifies as 'hate speech'. Something that can be legally persecuted in my country.
I think limitations on Freedom of Speech are appropriate. If I said things like
"You know the Holocaust wasn't too bad after all, Hitler was a cool guy and you know it would be so much better if all gays and jews were dead and you spoke German to me."
then I'd expect to be held responsible for my actions. Technically you'd even have the right to imprison me. Some opinions can be wrong.

Preach it.
There have been numerous articles about Facebook and third parties - published on CNN, MSNBC, you name it. There's been ample warning about how those parties share information with or without your consent. So if you don't want third parties sharing your Facebook information - delete your Facebook. Also, if you don't want a hateful comment attached to your name - don't post something hateful or don't use your real name as your Facebook name. The internet is public business. It doesn't matter if your profile is private or not. If you post something on there, it gives everyone the right to see and comment on it. I don't feel bad for these people at all. Keep your thoughts to yourself if you can't take the heat.

Also, I don't know who reported this thread but I can assure you if it's because of their "confidential" info being exposed then it's pointless because that screencap is all over the net.

I don't care about their rights. Their hate speech ideas infringe on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights set by the United Nations.
This is exactly the reason why KKK, the Westboro Baptist Church and other "organizations" can spread their "ideas" freely to the public without facing consequences.
It's horrible, and something has to be done.

Repressing freedom of speech is not the way to go. We need to educate and change the close-minded views of those who are still racist, homophobic or hold other forms of prejudices.

I reported it and I'd have reported those people if they were on my facebook timeline instead of ranting about it here

Education is definitely crucial, I agree - but even in schools there are stubborn students who will not change their views because they simply have been raised this way.
I'm just saying that legal action has to be made possible against racist bullying, hate speech and other things of this sort.

Well, we should not be the ones to decide so. I don't get how one can try to justify publishing confidential info without allowance. I consider this "cyber bullying".

We don't give two ***** about your cyber bullying. We care about REAL LIFE stuff like the 7 GAY BOYS who committed suicide because they were being beaten and bullied in the flesh. Take your ass down the street and around the corner with that **** because I AM NOT THE ONE here for it. The fact remains that there are 7 boys who never had a chance to live a full life because of ignorant and uninformed, hateful people who pushed them to the edge. Instead of complaining to us about letting out a little frustration, how about you take your ass to the real bullies and do something about that. Dont preach to us about making some comments, like we said they should die or something. GET THE **** OUT!

I know it's your opinion and I respect that, but you don't have to refer to The Bible as ****.

I knew this thing would get reported.
Anyway, I think we all need a couple lessons in life. Those people (the Facebookers in the OP) need to be a little more open about other lifestyles. They deal with people that are different heights than they are. Different weights, different eye colors, different shapes, different races, different names, different locations, and so on. Different orientations are just one more difference. Nothing more, nothing less. Humanity wasn't meant to be identical.
Also, the people that are saying hateful things to them need some self-reflection, too. For being the 'educated' side, there's a lot of hatred coming from it. You can't fight hate with hate, y'all. You fight hate with and . Saying things like you'll beat the **** out of them or that they should die or calling them dumb is not being very dignified. If they're supposedly the "uneducated" and "hateful" ones, then shouldn't we take higher road?
Education>>>>>>>>>Hate/Ignorance.
