Timbaland and Missy created so many successful stars like Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Nelly Furtado, Keri Hilson, OneRepublic, The Pussycat Dolls and produced some hits singles for other artists like "4 Minutes" for Madonna, I am sure Aaliyah would be a huge pop girl if she didn't passed away

Had she not died it would've definitely not gone platinum nor topped the charts.
Her stats overall are just really lacking compare to her peers like Brandy & Monica. The only girl she was doing slighty better is maybe Mya.
And lastly as far as doing singing/acting at the same time and being successful at both, Jlo was doing it 88484726 times bigger back then.
|
So she was only 200k shy of 500k while it's people with 500k sales with platinum albums.
Oiam and aanban PEAKED at # 18 yet went on to sell millions. So how could an album that debuted at # 2 not go platinum? Lets make sense.
Back then album eras would last a whole year. Again. You cant judge an entire album era's fate within a month of release.
Some of yall faves had to do several tours, videos, and re-releases for their albums to fully sell.
What "stats" did monica and brandy have that Aaliyah didnt? Yall love talking without reciepts. Lets see. If you talking about hits, thats invalid. Billboard already said Aaliyah's hits were bigger than the chart positions say because of the way her awful INDEPENDENT label handled her singles.
And we not talking about jlo. I asked who was doing it as an AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN? And besides, Jlo acted first and then started singing. So like i said, besides Janet and Whitney, No other AA woman in music was doing it. Give her props.

I dont see your correlation. Even when Aaliyah was alive, Timbaland had Tweet and Nicole Wray and neither of them fully popped off with Timbaland. Didnt change the fact Aaliyah had constant success with him,

Aaliyah's "flop ass" didn't have Beyoncé doing anything. MTV asked Beyoncé to host the red carpet, Aaliyah was one of the many artists that happened to be walking it that night. Stop re-writing history for your tired narrative.

Why can't y'all let this girl rest in peace. All the shoulda, coulda, and wouldas are tired. She did what she did when she was alive. What she could have gone on to do is irrelevant, especially since this will be based off of what she was doing prior to her death. And we all know how sensitive those facts are for her stans.

she had that cute hit now sis, don't be a hater

all I am saying is that they produced hits for various artists, and Aaliyah made Missy and Timbaland mainstream. Aaliyah could've easily sang Ciara's "1, 2 Step" and "My Goodies"

Nothing re-written about it. You can see the video plain as day. You stans just in denial of that video.
Beyonce wouldnt even do something like that today. Lol

Except you just tried to imply that she was there specifically to interview Aaliyah. You're re-writing history for your fictional narrative and of course Beyoncé wouldn't do that nowadays, because she's one of the biggest stars on the planet and eons bigger than Aaliyah would've ever been, had she not died.

I don't know what y'all think that video proves, other than Bey, at the beginning stages of career, took a job interviewing celebs on the red carpet. Y'all think its shade. At one point in time, Bey was also opening for Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
It's not about where you come from, it's about where you're at. Congratulations. Bey interviewed Aaliyah on the red carpet at the VMAs over a decade ago. This is clearly a career highlight for Aaliyah stans.

Anyway, I believed Liyah would have moved more into acting roles, like how Queen La did and succeeded there. Don't really think the music would have been much more successful than it already was.

Its not re written. Beyonce INTERVIEWED Aaliyah, noted her starpower and proceeded to broadcast her career moves to the world, just as an interviewer does. No lies were told.
Beyonce can be bigger than mj now all i care. Doesnt change the fact that Aaliyah was a bigger solo star than Beyonce was in 2000.

Unlike Brandy and Ashanti, Aaliyah didnt heavily focus on just r & b.
She had music coming with Trent Reznor

She interviewed a LOT of people. Again, how is THAT Aaliyah making Beyoncé do anything? Again, stop re-writing history for your false narrative. Your fave is gone and left a small mark on history, she was never as big as Beyoncé is and that's something you're just going to have to accept and move on from.

I don't know why y'all insist on bringing up Bey and then playing victim. Bey wasn't even a solo act in 2000 and her DC albums were still outselling Liyah's. I don't understand why this fact is so hard to digest. DC was outselling Aaliyah, no matter who was interviewing who on the red carpet.
Stop bringing up Bey. You will NEVER win with these fabrications and delusions.

Aaliyah would be a star in The Matrix, she would came back with My Goodies and 1, 2 Step in 2004 before going back to filming another megahit blockbuster movie and come back to music in 2006 with Promiscuous, Say It Right, Maneater and All Good Things Come To An End and then star in Avatar
she would then dump Timbaland and Missy for some hot EDM producers because at the early 10's, that was slaying hard, so Aaliyah would've served Only Girl In The World
