Semantics, the bitch dyed her lower layer less than at another event... big whoo... it doesn't make it more or less tacky than the other, the styling still sucked, the colors in the front and top layer still sucked, both looks are just a NO.
She should have worn this to the Met Gala and still slayed... the Givenchy mess could have been saved for a promo shot for the tour or something.
Ch! That look was cute for the boxing match event, but basic for the Metgala. Too much fabric with the disheveled hairdo just screams bland for the metagala. The sleeked ponytail and Givenchy dress gave drama and opulence. Showing off her svelte figure and stunning face. Plus most of the fashion critics loved it.

Y'all think I'm talking about the looks. I'm talking about that ****** ponytail. Not her make up or her dresses. That ponytail people like to pretend is a slay is a HOT MESS.
Beyonce's make up can be a bit harsh at time, I agree that the Met was horrible with the literal definition of a raccoon eye... there should not have been that much dark makeup in between her inner crease and the end of her inner brow... she looked so sad and depressed.... Francesca Tolot is her best make up artist.
She did dramatic make up so well on Beyonce and made it work while still nailing the no make up look. She's usually the one Bey requests for big shoots and events, she worked with Elizabeth Taylor before Beyonce became her biggest client. She understood what was needed for photo shoots, movies, stage performances and red carpets, she changed it to fit the events.
I agree she looks better withs simple but comparing it to bad angled paparazzi pics is also not the same. We need neutral ground. She can do dark makeup it just has to be done right.
But the MET 2016 makeup is still something I love as much as you guys hate it. She would have looked basic in a pink-ish dress with soft makeup, that needed some intensity. It needed to look like she just skinned the other woman. I love it, even the makeup to her eyebrows.

I liked it too. I thought she looked cool.
Met gala is not about looking "pretty". I think she looked weird, but in a good way. The dress is lowkey grotesque, cause itlooks like skin lol, but that's why I love it.
