It's not because Obama went more to the center. It's because Obama is what Trump liks to grab women by, with no fighting spirit. That's always been Obama's biggest flaw as a leader.

And as black man I PARTLY understand his hesitation. He wasn't just the President of the United States. He was also a cultural marker for and representative figure of black Americans to the country and beyond. There are so many stereotypical tropes he must have been trying to avoid (these are just some things black people think about). The same kind of tropes I think Hillary was trying to navigate as a woman, i.e. by being less aggressive on Donald during debates to not appear bitchy, etc.

But somethings gotta give. I can't go through 8 years of waking up to infuriating tweets from my President. And being embarrassed to be an American. I hang an US flag right above my bed for gosh sakes.
