In a nutshell, white people felt like minorities' struggle for equality was a personal attack on them and their power. So they tried to use Trump to silence us and teach us a lesson for it. And another subsection of whites thought that silencing minorities would somehow magically bring their jobs back and make them wealthy.

This is the explanation we've been hearing since Tuesday. What more can be said? Welcome to the club. This is the plight of poverty that minorities have felt for decades (not sure what the rich whites' excuse for voting for Trump could be, other than racism). I'm not about to feel sorry for people who voted to strip me of my rights, sorry. Maybe now they will realize that we're not the enemy and will work with us to pick the RIGHT candidate in 4 years. But we're stuck in this **** hole now, and we're the ones who now have to clean up the mess.

I'm torn when it comes to this.

The anti racism narrative really isn't being handled well from a promotional perspective. Calling a entire group racist (the majority at that), is proabaly not the best idea and that is kind of the side democrats took this cycle. At the same time criticizing that when people are blatanty disregarding any racial privileges is kind of hard for me to do as well.

You may want to think that every step to the left is the right step, but you'll have to accept that some people think differently. And no, you should not put people into boxes (Racist!! Homophob!! tetraphob!!!!), There are better way to deal with problematic people.
There is right and wrong, but some people have a different prespective than you on these ideas and you are not necesserily morally superior to them. This behavior is a milestone on the US way to fascism - and that's what scres me the most. And it could be hapenning in the same way with conservative and I'll have the exact same arguments.
