They ruined it by staying close to the third book like they did with the first two thinking it would pay off but apparently they didn't realize what a vile pile of **** the third book was, as if people cared about those books let alone respect Suzanne Collins prior to or after the movies. They should have made their own interpretation of the story and avoid the annoying money grab of splitting the last book.

Well, this isn't a country album so I'm not sure what you were expecting.

I'm not bashing you in particular, but I think it's so funny how everyone on here hears a few acoustic guitars and screams "country! country!" This sounds nothing like current mainstream country music, and it barely even has a resemblance to artists like Kacey Musgraves who are bringing back the classic sound.

The two songs Gaga wrote with Hillary Lindsey come the closest to even resembling country music, but A-Yo is more rock and Million Reasons is more pop imo.

The influence is there in some of the songs for sure, though. But it's not significant.

Yeah, there definitely aren't any smash hits on this.

Interscope surprisingly did the best job they could with picking the lead single. It was either DIC or PI. DIC isn't melodically strong and is a little too racy.

A-Yo being the second single (if true) is a mess, though. Should definitely be Million Reasons and then maybe DIC if that does decently.

If Joanne had been rush-released before Sept. 30, it could have been a very, very dark horse for an AOTY nomination.

Definitely has no chance next year, though. It's coming out too early into the Grammy year and with no hits, it won't be remembered come next fall.

The album comes out Friday, so Thursday night.

If you download the album into your iTunes and you have iCloud Library on, though, it will appear on your phone. I just did that to listen to it in the shower tonight (a GREAT way to experience Joanne, by the way).
